I have always been interested in and drawn to organic shapes in art and sculpture. Most of my creations to date are figurative sculptures. I took a step outside of that to draw and create the abstract tables and wall hangings you see.
I love these shapes as wall art or as functional tables. Please have a look and let me know which ones are appealing.
I was born and raised in Detroit Michigan. From a young age I was exposed to lots of art books and museums.
The Navy brought me to San Diego in 1977 and even though I’ve left for short periods, it is where I call home.
After my naval career was complete in 1997, I reinvented myself into a technology professional and worked in that field until 2004.
I got the entrepreneurial bug and bought a Fastsigns franchise in San Diego in 2005 and I am still in that business today.
Along the way, I kept in touch with my love of art and worked in figurative bronze sculpture from 2000 through 2020.
I’ve always been inspired by the abstract organic shapes of Jean Arp, Joan Miro, and Henry Moore.
I started spending more time in Palm Springs and the modernism art there caught my eye. Something clicked one day, and I started drawing abstract shapes.
The shapes became a ceiling light and wall sconces, and tables, and wall art. I really enjoy the creative process with this project and can’t wait to see what i design next.
